Invoice Financing Platform Finyoz
Internal application design system for B2B invoice marketplace
THE ASK
Finyoz operates as an invoice marketplace connecting companies needing immediate liquidity with investors seeking attractive returns. Companies upload B2B invoices, investors finance them for 14-90 day terms, and both parties benefit—companies receive instant cash flow, investors earn interest significantly higher than traditional banking products. The platform serves three distinct user types: companies seeking financing, private investors, and corporate treasury departments managing surplus capital.
The internal application required a comprehensive design system that could accommodate complex workflows across these different user roles while maintaining clarity in what is fundamentally a regulated financial service. The interface needed to handle invoice uploads, approval processes, investment allocation, dashboard analytics, payment tracking, and compliance documentation—all while feeling accessible rather than overwhelming.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
THE SOLUTION
I developed a complete design system for Finyoz's internal platform, establishing consistent patterns across all user journeys. The system prioritizes clarity and confidence—critical attributes for a financial application where users are making significant capital decisions.
The visual language uses a clean, professional aesthetic with teal as the primary action color, creating strong contrast against neutral backgrounds. Data visualizations employ simple bar charts and clear numerical displays, making financial performance immediately scannable. Status indicators use color-coded badges (uploaded, active, overdue, completed) that provide instant recognition of invoice states without requiring users to read detailed text.
Navigation follows a persistent sidebar pattern that adapts based on user role—companies see invoice management and financing options, investors see portfolio and available opportunities, with role-specific actions clearly separated. The dashboard surfaces critical information first: total financed amounts, payment expectations, overdue tracking, and performance metrics. Charts include time-period toggles (days/weeks/months) allowing users to adjust their analytical view without leaving the screen.
For mobile responsiveness, the design collapses into a bottom navigation pattern with swipeable dashboard cards, recognizing that many users need to check invoice status or approve investments while away from desktops. The mobile interface maintains full functionality rather than offering a reduced feature set, ensuring users can manage time-sensitive financial decisions regardless of device.
The system includes both "Classic Skin" and "New Skin" toggle options, allowing gradual user migration to the updated interface without forcing immediate change—particularly important for a financial platform where user comfort and familiarity reduce errors and build trust.
THE IMPACT
The design system provided Finyoz with a scalable foundation that accommodates their growing user base while maintaining consistency across increasingly complex functionality. Clear visual hierarchy and status communication reduce cognitive load when users are managing multiple invoices or investment opportunities simultaneously. The responsive design ensures critical financial operations remain accessible across contexts, from office treasury departments to company owners checking status while traveling. By establishing repeatable patterns for common actions—uploading invoices, requesting offers, tracking payments—the system enables Finyoz to expand features without creating interface chaos or requiring users to relearn navigation with each update.
